A Classic Georgian or Federal design solid mahogany dining table was hand crafted during America's first Centennial - circa 1876. This was the first period of replicating historic antiques from the era of our nation's founding.
Wide planks of solid mahogany form the top, there are 2 solid mahogany pedestals with cast brass paw feet and wheels. The gleaming silky finish is excellent, and the modern replaced slides open and close smoothly. Two original 27" wide leaves fit very well, and there is a rebuilt apron or skirt around the table and under the leaves. The highly figured grain has natural irregularities that give this antique furniture great patina.
Measurements are 44" wide, almost 30" tall, and 6'8" long when closed, total length is 11'2" with both leaves in place. Chairs are not included.
