This country cherry armoire or wardrobe has clean lines and fine moldings. Expertly hand-made about 1840, this exceptional furniture was said to come from Pennsylvania.
There are hand-cut dovetailed joints visible on the backside, and this historic antique can be completely disassembled for moving. All flat panels are solid cherry, hand-chamfered or raised on the inside.
The satiny finish is excellent with lovely patina, there are minor mars to the edges. Other than a few iron hooks, the interior is empty and could be fitted as desired with shelves or a closet pole, depth inside is 19."
