An exceptionally fine Pembroke dropleaf lamp table is solid mahogany with delicate inlaid banding in satinwood and ebony. Although the design is 18th Century Georgian, this elegant little antique is actually from about 1890.
Slender legs with Marlborough spade feet terminate in original casters. The gleaming finish is excellent with warm patina and shimmering grain in the one-board top.
Gently curved front and rear, the drawer has solid mahogany sides with beautiful tiny hand cut dovetails. Brass pulls are original on this English furniture, dropleaves rest on arms with hand carved wooden hinges.
Measurements with the dropleaves down are 14" wide, 20" deep and 28" tall, with both raised, width is 29" total.
