Whether used as a bookcase or display cabinet, this carved mahogany antique from about 1900 has understated fine detailing.
The original finish has been polished and has warm antique patina and character, the top of the base has been revarnished. There are small mars and shrinkage separations from age plus wear around the upper keyhole, see photos.
Doors have original wavy glass, shelves inside are adjustable. Embossed brass pulls are original, drawers are dovetailed.
Two separate pieces for easier moving, this furniture from England has carved panels and a crown with Celtic design motifs against a tooled background.
Measurements are 48" wide, 20" deep, 84" tall and the base is 36" high.
