Utterly magnificent, the classical design of this Victorian carved mahogany sideboard is superb. The gleaming finish is in excellent condition, accentuating the shimmering ribbon grain on wide mahogany surfaces - the top has a cut from a single board over 25" wide. The lavishly carved backsplash has a plaque for mounting your family coat of arms, if desired.
Authentic antique furniture from about 1860, this piece disassembles for easy handling. The substantial size of this sideboard is very well proportioned, and the scale and hand carving is masterful. Hand cut dovetails and hand planing are visible everywhere, and there are only minor mars and wear. Measurements are 7'8" long, 30" deep, 4'11" tall, and the top surface is over 40" high.
