Victorian Gothic Antique Horsehair Chair
An authentic 1850's Victorian chair still has what appears to be its original upholstery - genuine woven horsehair.
The spool turned frame is hand carved in Gothic style in solid walnut, with a hand painted faux rosewood grain.
Strong and very usable, the finish is very fine. The braid or gimp trim is a new replacement and there is wear at the right front corner of the horsehair.
This American antique furniture measures 19" wide, 23" deep, 45" tall and the seat is 16" high.
