Accountant or Bookeeper 1895 Antique Oak Rolltop Desk

An interesting variation of the roll top desk was crafted about 1895 for a bookeeper or accountant.

Solid oak, the deep lustrous finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique office furniture. Under the smooth gliding roll top is pull out shelf, used for a massive typewriter or adding machine of the age. There are also tiny cubicles and a drawer for papers. Three deep drawers plus a file drawer have dovetailed joints. Sides are paneled all around.

Measurements of this historic and functional desk are 49" wide, 42" deep, 47 1/2" tall, the sliding work shelf is 27" tall, the right side work area is 33" high.
