The famous Adam brothers' neoclassical designs were all the rage about 1760 in London, a favorite style of the Georgian Kings of England.
This hand carved armchair dates from about 1895, and shows the characteristic grace and delicacy of these renowned architects and designers.
The glossy finish is superb, enhancing the artistic inlaid marquetry medallions on the back. Newly upholstered in European brocade, this graceful English antique furniture is sturdy and very comfortable.
Dimensions are 23" wide, 24" deep, 29" tall and the seat is 20" high.
