A beautiful and naturalistic original carved alabaster sculpture of a maiden with roses is signed "Italy, G. Cedrini."
The artist incorporates both Art Nouveau and Art Deco influence. This serene work of art dates from the early 1900's, and has no damage or repairs that we can see.
Translucent with very subtle grain, the natural alabaster stone is lovely with a soft matte finish that is very beautiful. There is a marble plinth with minor flakes. This delicate script signature is on the backside, and height is 20 1/2" tall.
