An American classic from the Empire period about 1835, this marvelous carved solid mahogany sofa has been newly upholstered.

The frame is strong and tight with hand carved acanthus leaves, lion paw feet and cornucopia or horn of plenty motifs.

Silky and gleaming, the finish is excellent. European tapestry upholstery is lovely, the seat is firm. Removable brass wheels are original on this elegant antique furniture from the East Coast.

Size is 7' 5" long, 25" deep, 36" tall and the seat is 19" high.
