This antique roll-top desk is from the late Arts & Crafts period about 1910, crafted of quarter sawn oak and finished on all sides. The rich deep finish is in excellent condition with a few mars at the edges for character, see photos. Brass hardware is all original, the brass feet protected the desk when mopping floors.
Deep dovetailed drawers include a large file drawer, two pull-out shelves add workspace. The "C" shaped roll operates smoothly, the lock works. Inside are tiny compartments, drawers and a compartment with a key for a handle only, plus letter holders at each side.
Clean lines and rich natural wood grain distinguish this American made office furniture, which can be disassembled for moving.
Size is 5' long, 36" deep, 43" tall, the work area is 30" high, the kneehole is 23" wide and 25" high.
