Antique Bombe Marquetry Triple Armoire

A spectacular "Bombe" or convex shaped triple armoire has inlaid marquetry design. The satiny finish on matched walnut burl is very fine with beautiful antique patina and character - there are the usual small shrinkage separations and minor mars plus the typical irregularities of burl. Brasses are original, drawers have solid oak sides with hand-cut dovetails.
Expertly crafted in northern Italy about 1910, this is dramatic and bold scale furniture. The original mirror has lots of antique "character," it could be resilvered or replaced if desired.
This graceful wardrobe could be fitted with closet poles or shelves as desired, it disassembles for easier moving.
