An exceptional Art Deco 1930's cedar lined blanket chest is signed "Roos of Forest Park" near Chicago.
The dramatic "waterfall" design is matched mahogany with walnut burl and elm, the finish is in excellent condition on this American made vintage furniture. A tray lifts up when the lid is opened, ingenious hinges allow the chest tight to the wall. The original push button latch has been removed for safety, but is included.
Size is 48" wide, 19" deep and 22" tall.
