A butcher's chopping bock was made of solid hard maple about 1910, and could be a kitchen island or wine tasting table. A signature label reads "Butcher Chopping Block of Wis."
Salvaged from a Wisconsin country store, this antique furniture has warm patina. The finish preserves loads of antique character, wear, stains and mars from a century's use. Individual blocks of maple are dovetailed together to form the block on this rugged furniture.
Measurements are 21" wide, 18" deep and 36" tall.
