Carved Oak 1920 German Bookcase, Glass Doors

Hand carved of solid oak about 1920 in Germany, this stately bookcase has its original finish, preserved in extremely fine condition. Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm luster. There is a shrinkage separation from age on one side that has been touched up, but is still visible, see photos.

Superior workmanship shown by finely detailed carving, adjustable shelves, piano hinged doors and the drop front bottom door, which reveals sliding tray drawers inside. Locks do not work, keys are handles only on this antique furniture from Europe.

Size is 53" wide, 17" deep and 75" tall.
