Carved Renaissance Sideboard, Credenza or Dresser

This large and dramatic sideboard, credenza or dresser has magnificent artistry, and is expertly hand carved of solid walnut in Renaissance design. Deep moldings and bold scale are executed with architectural proportions. Sublime subtlety of the carver's art is expressed with intricate detail in high relief against a hammered background.

Historic furniture dating from about 1900, the finish is in wonderful condition.

Behind 1 1/2" thick doors are three large drawers, another drawer above also has hand-dovetailed solid chestnut sides. Whether used as a chest or dresser, foyer credenza, linen chest or server in a dining room, this palatial antique makes a dramatic statement. Size is 62" wide, 24" deep and 43" tall. There are companion matching pieces in similar shaded tones.
