A classic American high-boy or tall chest on chest is solid cherry, signed with a burned-in brand, "Thomasville."
The original finish is excellent from about 35 years ago. Dovetailed drawers have solid oak sides, brasses are original. Carved shell motifs are traditional, the graceful pedament is lovely.
Drawers glide smoothly on this vintage furniture, and size is 40" wide, 19" deep and 6' 10" tall.
