Hand crafted in China for an apothecary to use for traditional medical herbs and drugs, this 18 drawer chest dates from the earlier 1900's.

Solid ash hardwood, the hand rubbed deep finish is in excellent condition. Inlaid mother-of-pearl characters label each drawer. Very well constructed, hand planing marks can be felt everywhere. The shape has a traditional angled configuration.

Measurements of this antique "drugstore" furniture are 32" wide, 16" deep and 43" tall.
