Colored Blaeu Antique 1645 Yorkshire England Map

An engraved and hand water-colored map of "Isle Northridinge Yorkeshire Region" in England has English and Latin inscriptions. Printed by engraved copper plate, there is a seam down the center. We are told this antique map is by famous makers Willem and Joan Blaeu, printed and colored in Amsterdam, Holland. It depicts the region of North Yorkshire with topographical features, decorated with ducal coats of arms, cherubs and a handsome cartouche.
Reds are still vivid, there is some discoloration to the paper on this exquisite 1645's era antique map of England. Inscriptions are in English and Latin.
The vintage frame has a linen wrapped mat that we have not tried to clean. Visible size is about 16" x 20," overall size is 24" x 28" framed.
