Country French Carved Mohair 1900 Antique Sofa

Entirely hand carved by a master artisan about 1900, this Country French sofa has soft old mohair upholstery.

Richly detailed, the elegant provincial frame is strong and tight. There are some breaks in the caned panels, which remain flexible and usable. The original finish has warm patina, it has been waxed and buffed so only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its luster.

Down filled pillows and the spring seat are comfortable, there is very little wear to the genuine mohair. Size of this wonderful country villa furniture from France is 82" long, 36" deep, 34" tall and the seat is 17" high.
