This solid cherrywood chest of drawers or dresser was hand crafted by a skilled country carpenter in New England during the 1850's. The cherry was chosen for its distinctive "curly" grain that shimmers as you walk by. There are tiny hand cut dovetails on the drawers of this authentic antique furniture.
The rich old finish is very warm with wonderful patina, there is a repaired shrinkage separation in the top - see photo. Wooden knobs appear original, and size is 42" wide, 19" deep and 4' tall.
