Hand crafted about 1860 in England, this substantial country pine dropleaf table has many uses - dining, breakfast, sofa or writing table.
Well worn with lots of antique character - mars, dings, stain shrinkage separations from age - the finish is in very fine condition on hand planed pine.
The drawer has hand cut dovetail joints. Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain the golden patina. The boldly scaled base is charmingly irregular and uneven on this picturesque furniture.
With drop leaves down, size is 22" wide, 36" deep, and 28" tall, with both leaves raised, width is 37" overall.
