Richly carved in the English Tudor manner about 1925, this dining set includes a table with 2 pull out leaves, sideboard and six chairs.
Quarter sawn oak has a deep brown finish that is in excellent condition. Frames are strong and tight.
This American made furniture has the signature "John M. Smythe, Chicago" on the table and sideboard. The table has a restoration under the finish on the top, see photos.
Table measurements are 66" long when closed, 31 1/2" high and legroom is about 25" underneath, both draw leaves are 22" wide, so overall length is 9' 2."
Chairs have recent unworn upholstery, and there is a restoration to one arm, see photos. Arm chairs measure 25" wide, 24" deep, 48" tall and seats are 20" high, four side chairs are 20" wide, 21" deep and 44" tall.
Sideboard drawers are dovetailed, there is a removable silver caddy. Measurements are 6' 6" long, 22" deep and 39" high.
