Richly carved of walnut in the classic Georgian Chippendale style about 1915, a small sideboard or huntboard has a famous black Italian "Porturo" marble top, matched burl panels and artistic detailing.
The beautifully grained marble is in excellent condition. Useful also as a server, linen or silver chest or hall console, the satiny finish is excellent in a rich, deep brown.
Lavish claw and ball feet are emblematic of 18th Century design, carving is masterful with graceful curves. Two dovetailed drawers have carved pulls.
Spectacular American antique furniture, measurements are 45" wide, 20" deep and 34" tall.
