An authentic Georgian period gateleg dropleaf table from the 1700's is functional as a dining, sofa or hall table. Hand crafted in England, the top is single wide planks of solid figured mahogany.
The gleaming finish is in excellent condition with a few mars for antique character. Hand planing marks can be felt on the underside of this historic and functional table. Gate legs swing open on carved wooden hinges. Iron and wood wheels are later and date from about 1870.
Measurements when closed are 44" long, 20" wide and 30" tall, with both leaves raised to an oval shape, size is 44" x 57."
