Signed by famous maker, "Globe Wernicke of Cincinnati, Ohio," this four stack lawyer's or barrister's bookcase dates from about 1900.
Mahogany and birch, the original finish is very fine with a little crazing and a few mars for antique character. Lift up doors have brass knobs and old wavy glass on this American made library furniture.
Sections fit books up to 9 1/2" wide and 10" tall. Base with a built in drawer and top are also separate stacking modules. Overall size is 34" wide, 12" deep and 59 1/2" tall.
