Expertly hand carved in Italy about 1915, this exquisite bed fits a queen size mattress as shown - two attached nightstands have marble tops.
The satiny finish is superb on matched walnut with dramatic "sunburst" grain and understated vine motif details. Famous black "Nero Porturo" Italian marble tops are in excellent condition with a silky polish. Set into beautiful round niches, the nightstands are hinged to swing out so that making the bed is easier.
Brass hardware is original, drawers have hand cut dovetailed. The headboard disassembles for moving, the frame has been adapted to a standard modern queen size.
There is a graceful curve to the footboard of this stunning antique furniture, originally crafted for a palazzo near Milan.
Measurements are 104" wide, 89" long, the headboard is 79" tall and 16" deep including night stands.
Candelabras are prices and sold separately.
