Spectacular in design and craftsmanship, an Italian table has lavish marquetry and a marble top. Whether used as a dining, hall or library table, or as a writing desk, this antique makes a strong and sophisticated statement.
This stunning and lavishly designed table came from a palazzo near Turin in northern Italy. Intricate inlay or "intarsia" work incorporates mahogany, burl walnut and fruitwood, with hand-carved detailing.
Subtle curves and meticulous workmanship add grandeur to this opulent antique furniture from the 1930's, which shows Art Deco influence.
This exclusive table is in wonderful condition, and the marble is beautiful with only minute scratches. The satin finish is excellent, with the natural irregularities characteristic of burl wood.
Dimensions are 6'11" long, 39" wide, almost 31" tall and legroom is 29" high.
