Italian Piedmont Carved Sideboard, China Cabinet

Hand-carved of solid walnut about 1920, this grand sideboard with china cabinet top or backbar has wonderful storage and display area. The mostly original warm deep brown finish is excellent, notice the original hardware and hand dovetailed drawers.

Very solid, panels reflect traditional design from the Milan area in northern Italy, the Piedmont region. Tool marks from the master carver are clearly visible in the front panels, sides are raised rectangular panels. The triple arched top is imposing on this traditional antique furniture. There is old wavy glass in the door, and the upper section is removable for easier moving.

Measurements are 6' wide, 22" deep, 6'8" tall, and the base is 41" high.
