Mahogany Classical Queen Size 2 Pc. Bedroom Set, Marble Dresser

A marvelous solid mahogany bedroom set from about 1885 includes a bed adapted to queen size and a marble top chest or dresser with a secret drawer.
The deep rich finish is in excellent condition everywhere on the beautifully grained shimmering mahogany hardwood. Deep moldings have classical motifs on this stately American made antique furniture.
The bed has been expertly enlarged using the original side rails to accommodate a standard modern queen size mattress and innerspring - see photos. Wooden slats for support underneath are included. Size is 88" long, 69" wide, the headboard is 73" tall and the foot board is 34" high.
The dresser has a "Tennessee Red" marble top that has been polished and sealed to resist stains. Brasses are original on hand dovetailed drawers and there is a secret drawer in the base. Measurements are 52" wide, 26" deep and 29" tall.
