A classic "rice plantation" poster bed is a 17th Century design from South Carolina. This bed from about 20 years ago has hand carved solid mahogany posts that unscrew for easier moving.

The gleaming finish is in excellent condition on this unsigned vintage furniture. Wood slats are included to support a standard queen size mattress and spring unit, the demonstrator set in photos is 18" thick together.

Measurements are 64" wide, 90" long, both ends are 52 1/2" tall, with the upper parts of the posts in place, height is 7' 3 1/2" overall.
