Made for a Milwaukee museum about 1910, this shadow box or wall display case is solid mahogany.
The original finish is very well preserved with a few mars, see photos. The interior once had lights, holes are visible inside, and the back is covered in a mottled bronze genuine leather with a few holes from earlier displays.
The heavy plate glass lid is secured with brass screws and fits tightly into a groove to keep out dust. Bronze pulls are original, interior depth is 6." Items inside are not included.
This classical antique cabinet can be wall mounted or rest on a counter or floor. The crown molding ends at an angle on the right back corner, see photos.
Overall dimensions of this American made antique furniture are 6' 1" wide, 10" deep and 6' 1" tall.
