Hand crafted of solid oak about 1870, this monumental "partner's" desk was made for two partners facing one another, each with a set of four drawers.
Made for an insurance company in Wisconsin where it remained to this day, this rugged furniture has a lustrous finish in excellent condition.
There are shrinkage separations from age to the substantial turned legs. The knee hole is lined with wainscoting, embossed iron pulls are original.
Looking like it was used in a Dickens novel, measurements are 6' 6" long, 47 1/2" wide and 30" tall, the knee hole is 31" wide and 27" high.
