A portable machinist's tool chest from around 1915 makes an interesting jewelry or collector cabinet. Solid oak, the old finish is well preserved with mars and dings for character. The key is a handle only, the lock does not work.
Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its patina.
Solid oak, the nickel hardware is original. There is a panel on the removable drop front, inside is a leather insert.Drawers of various sizes have tin or old felt bottoms, they could be lined with felt if desired.
The worn leather handle is original on this American made antique, size is 16" wide, 9" deep and 12" tall.
