An 8 drawer double file cabinet is quartersawn oak, signed "Automatic File and Index Co., Green Bay, Wis." The "Automatic" part is a patented mechanism that allows the front handle to tilt out the front and automatically tilt the file rest or stop to the back, making access to folders easier.
This antique office furniture was very well crafted, all drawers glide smoothly and have adjustable supports for standard 9x12 files. The rich brown finish is excellent, sides are paneled. Thumb latches, brass pulls and label holders are original, "Patented 1912."
Size is 15" wide, 28" deep and 52" tall.
