The solid oak base of this grand 1910 era library, dining or hall table has carved spiral columns and lion paw feet. Two large pull out extension leaves add space if needed on this refectory design table.
The deep brown finish on fine grained quarter sawn oak is in excellent condition. Original finish on the base has been waxed and polished, the top and extensions have been revarnished for durability and stain resistance.
Understated detailing includes mortise and tenon joints at the ends of this splendid furniture expertly crafted in France. The top has an exquisite parquet pattern.
Measurements are 78" long, 29" wide, 30 1/2" tall, legroom is around 24" underneath, and each leaf adds 29" for an extended length of 136" total.
