This pair of lavish Baroque design corbels or wall pedestals probably were used to support sculpture. They can be used tight to the ceiling as corbels for dramatic effect.
Architectural fragments from about 1880, they were boldly crafted of composition or stucco for a Chicago church. There are chips and damage, the paint is well worn and some is flaking on this stunning historic salvage.
Each has iron hanging brackets and measures 24" wide, 20" deep and 28" tall. Approximate weight of each piece is 60 lbs.
