Made for a railroad depot about 1890, a solid ash and oak train ticket cabinet has an adjustable metal rack for tickets inside. The original finish is worn and stained with warm antique patina, and there are losses to this American made railroad furniture.
Inside is a letter marked "Great Falls, Montana, 1946," detailing emergency instructions for train wrecks. There is also a removable metal ticket rack plus two photographs of railroad disasters.
Whether used countertop or wall hung, this railroad memorabilia is an authentic reminder of the golden age of railroads.
Measurements are 21" wide, 12" deep and 36" tall.
