Ram Heads Tooled Leather Antique Throne Chair
A spectacular 1870's throne chair has hand carved ram's heads and original tooled leather upholstery with embossed knights, a horse and a wonderful family heraldic crest.
The original finish on solid walnut is in very fine condition with nice antique patina. Heavy saddle leather has wear and mars, but remains pliable. Brass studs and finials are also intact.
Strong and usable furniture, this striking chair was made for a palazzo in northern Italy.
Measurements are 27" wide, 30" deep, 51" tall and the seat is 19" high.
