Russian 1900 Antique Samovar, Tea Pot, Sugar & Tray Set

An authentic Czarist era Russian samovar set from around 1900 includes a tray, sugar bowl and tea pot. Solid brass, there is an Imperial stamp on the lid with "Tula" in Cyrillic script, a city famous for the craft of samovar making.
Hot coals from a fireplace were placed in the center "chimney" to boil tea water. This traditional "hissing" sound is a welcoming sound in many Russian novels.
The set is nicely worn with a few dings for antique character. Samovar height is 16" and about 13" across, the teapot is 6" tall and the tray is 16 1/2" long.
