An original oil painting on canvas of sailboats dates from the later 1800's, and is signed "W. Wilson." Thomas Walter Wilson (1851-1912) was a British artist and designated "R.I." for the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colors in London.
He was noted for nautical and harbor scenes. There are touchups and repairs to the opulent gold frame. Size of this English work of art is 41" x 31" overall, the canvas is 30" x 20."
