This charming tall case or grandfather clock is a marriage of an 1840 era movement and a 1900 era case. The brass 8 day movement has been cleaned and oiled and keeps excellent time.
A brass and pewter dial has filigree detail and is hand engraved by the maker, "Fesper Munch." Crank, hand cut brass hands and pendulum all appear original. The heavy weight fine grained oak case is expertly constructed with handcut dovetails, fluted panels and chamfered back.
In the door is a working lock, the original deep finish is very fine. There is green stained glass in the pendulum window and on the sides of the movement.
Size of this antique from Sweden is 22" wide, 11" deep and 87 1/2" tall.
