When sitting next to a fire got a bit too warm, this adjustable fire screen was placed in front of the roaring flames to take some of the heat off one's face.
- English 1840s antique fireplace screen from the Victorian period
- Beautifully carved genuine rosewood
- Old varnish has been cleaned and preserved with a coat of clear finish
- Minor mars, losses, & shrinkage separations from age - see photos
- Brass hardware is original
- Framed original handstitched needlepoint behind glass has some discoloration and is removable
- Adjustable height
