Vernis Martin Hand Painted French 1900 Antique Music Cabinet

All original from about 1900, this music cabinet from France has a "Vernis Martin" finish, a frosty bronze background with hand painted music motifs. There are minor touchups to the well worn finish, which has charming antique patina.

Embossed bronze mounts and working lock and key are original. The door is "bombe" or convex. The door has a gap at the edge plus shrinkage separations from age, see photos. Shelves adjust on metal pegs inside this antique furniture.

Size is 23" wide, 17" deep and 42 1/2" tall.
