Victorian 1868 Iron Pleat Roller, Fluter, Crimper or Ruffler

A necessity in a proper Victorian household, this cast iron pleat roller was also called a fluter, crimper or ruffler.
Signed "M. Sauerbrier and Sons, Newark, NJ, Pat. Nov. 20, 1868," there are traces of original paint. The crank turns rollers to impress a collar, sleeve or skirt with a precise embossed ruffle.
Size of this antique in working order is 9" x 9" and 9" tall excluding the wooden handle.
