An authentic Victorian "banquet" table lamp is solid brass filigree, dating from the 1880's. Originally kerosene with a double wick burner signed "P & A Duplex," it was wired for electricity and the font was drilled, see photo.
The opal ball shade is later. Size of this historic American antique is 37" tall and 14" across the base.
