Victorian Console Chess Game Table

When this 1875 era Victorian console table is opened, there is a marvelous inlaid marquetry chess or checkerboard game table inside.
Solid walnut, the finish is very fine with just enough mars on the base for a little antique character. The game board is mahogany, birch and other woods in a sophisticated pattern. When the top is swiveled, the gamepiece compartment underneath is revealed.
Hand made in American, this nostalgic furniture measures 25" long, 13" deep and 29" tall when closed, when flipped open, the top is 25" square.
