Carved of quarter-sawn oak about 1895, a Victorian fireplace mantel and surround has galleries and original beveled mirrors. Tapered columns have Ionic capitals.
The lustrous deep brown finish is excellent on this well-proportioned historic mantel. Mirrors have a little "smoke" to show their age.
Measurements of this American architectural antique are 4' 11" wide, 10" deep, 77" tall, the mantel shelf is 50" high. The fire opening is 41 1/2" wide and 39" high.
