A marvelous example of furniture from the Victorian Renaissance period about 1885, this three piece bedroom set includes a queen size bed, dresser with mirror and bedside chest.
Solid walnut with burl panels and delicate inlaid marquetry, this historic furniture has an excellent finish with glowing patina.
Dovetailed drawers have original original engraved nickel hardware on this American made antique set. Marble tops have been sealed to resist stains. Square nails are visible on the backsides.
The bed has been expertly adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress and spring unit, together 20" thick as shown. Wood slats underneath are included. Original side rails have been extended and dimensions are 68" wide, 86" long, the headboard is 85" tall and the foot board is 30" high.
The dresser or chest has candle stands flanking an original mirror, with a hint of warm "smoke" to show its age. Measurements are 42" wide, 20" deep and 86" tall.
The bedside chest or commode is 30" wide, 17" deep and 38" tall.
