Waltham Antique Gold Filled Pocket Watch, Blue & Gold Dial

A sweet 1890's hand engraved pocket watch is signed by famous American maker, "Waltham of Waltham, CT." It keeps excellent time. The gold filled case is signed "Philadelphia Watch Case Co.,Guaranteed 20 Years," and the heavy weight gold is still excellent on the case but worn on the fob loop.

The delicate filigree hands and porcelain dial are exquisite with blue numerals and gold work, there are cracks on the dial, see photos. Masterful engraving is lovely with a bird and shield for a monogram, possibly "H." The crystal is newly replaced on this treasured heirloom.

When the back is unscrewed, the expert machining on the movement is visible on the jeweled movement. Size of this American antique jewelry is 1 7/8" diameter, excluding the winding staff.
